Vehicle Information for Wheelchair Users
Our vehicle is the Mercedes Vito London taxi. All London taxis are fully wheelchair accessible. They all have a ramp, steps and secure handles. They are excellent for wheelchair accessible trips.
A London taxi can carry up to six passengers.
This passenger number reduces if a wheelchair user remains in the wheelchair. Usually this means that the taxi can carry one wheelchair user seated in their wheelchair and three other passengers.
If the wheelchair user is able to transfer to a taxi seat then six passengers can be carried. The manual wheelchair can be folded and stored or the electric wheelchair can be broken down and stored.
