Laura
Hello, I’m Laura — I have a passion for history, storytelling, and meeting people from all over the world.
I currently offer Classic London Sightseeing tours and Harry Potter filming location tours, combining London’s rich history with some of its most magical and iconic locations.
I’ve always loved anything connected to WWII and enjoy sharing the incredible stories that shaped London during those years. I’m also fascinated by the history behind many of London’s old sayings and traditions, and I love bringing those stories to life during my tours.
Before becoming a tour guide and licensed London taxi driver, I spent many years working with the public — from pub work when I was younger to running my own greengrocer’s shop in North London for 21 years. Meeting people and having a good chat has always been a huge part of my life, which is one of the reasons I love guiding tours so much.
One of my favourite historical stories is the extraordinary tale of Oliver Cromwell. Two years after his death, he was dug up from Westminster Abbey and put on trial for treason by Charles II for signing the death warrant of Charles I. Found guilty, he was symbolically hanged, beheaded, and his head displayed on a spike above Westminster Hall for over 20 years until it eventually disappeared in a storm — a wonderfully bizarre piece of London history that never fails to fascinate visitors.
My tour style is fun, relaxed, and bespoke. At the start of every tour, I like to learn about my guests and their interests. Some people love history, monarchy, and wartime stories, while others are more interested in photography, film locations, or simply having a great time exploring the city. I always aim to tailor the experience so everyone leaves with wonderful memories of London.
